MARCH CHALLENGE
Is time going fast for you guys as well? I do know one thing...I am READY for spring! So the RED challenge was quite fun I must say. I laugh when I hear the words,"take a picture for the blog!" If only more were really posted. lol
This month I have been remembering how much fun we had this time last year. I can't believe I was meeting little Daisy for the first time. I wish we could get all the girls together to play.
Well on to the challenge....by the way, this is Mom's idea. The challenge is to FINISH something you have started. Hey, it was either that or show off some of your spring cleaning...lol. Can't wait to see what you all FINISH!!!! GOOD LUCK!

(Jenni) Peach Pancake Syrup

My mother-in-law gave up some peaches. I wanted to try something different. I ended up making peach pancake syrup. It was easy to make....just hope my family likes it.
I doubled the recipe
5 cups peach puree (ran through a blender)
2 cups sugar
2 TBSP lemon juice (this is important for the acidity and color)
2 tsp vanilla
YIELD: 3 PINTS

Over med. heat in a heavy pot, combine peach puree, sugar, and lemon juice. Heat to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Simmer, stirring frequently for five minutes. Remove from the heat and add the vanilla.
Pour into jars, leaving 1/4 head space at the top of each jar. Wipe all the rims with a clean cloth and place on lids. Add the bands to tighten to finger tight...not so tight they won't come off.
Process in a boiling water bath for 20 minutes.
Remove the jars and allow to cool undisturbed for 24 hours. before storing, check to lids fora seal.

I Don't Want to But...........

This is my favorite time of year. However, I am afraid that this year will be different. My stress levels are out of control with what I have going on. I am really wondering why in the world I am doing this to myself. Right now my life is behind a computer, wheel of the car, and just plain trying to keep my head on. I love to blog....you all know that. HAVE YOU ALL MISSED ME? I will try to keep going. I am asking that someone take over the blog until the end of December. I have loved crafting and doing this together. We can either just share random things until after the Holidays or someone else can take over for me. I just can't at this time. I have 3 state tests, homework up the *****, work, housework, my family and the list goes on. I do realize I am not the only one with a crazy life. I promise to update here and there. I love you all and if someone wants to come up with a challenge, I will take part. I only have 12 more weeks of this heavy duty stressful semester. I WILL BE BACK!

(Sarah) My Daisy Princess

Mom does such an awesome job on making princess clothes for the girls. Many people ask where we bought them and are always surprised when we say that their grandma made them.

Thanks for everything Mom!

(Sarah) Playing at the Park

Just wanted to share some pics of the girls at the park. Their favorite place to be!

(Sarah) Baked S'mores

Since we can't have a BBQ or a fire pit we have to improvise and have baked s'mores. Paula Deen would be proud, a whole cup of butter was used in the crust :)

FHE Butterfly Circus

Brittney wanted to do a big family home evening. She had to watch this video for one of her classes. We all guessed what the video was about due to the title. It was a great lesson that covered many topics.

It really makes you think of the way you see yourself in God's eyes.
Thanks Brittney, it was a great FHE!

Grandma's Frozen Banana Split Dessert

Grandma loves watching the food channels almost as much as the westerns. This dessert really caught her attention. She even did her best to write down the recipe. She loves cooking and trying new things so she made sure to have all the necessary ingredients the next time family came to visit. Deanna helped her put it all together and it was as yummy as it looked. Grandma insisted on making it again when she went to Deanna's for her birthdaay. It was even better and everyone loved it.

(Sarah) Oh NO!

Oh crap! I'm the only one who hasn't posted this month! I have one more day so wish me luck!

(Mom) Wedding Card

Can you believe I'm actually posting! I went through my cricut cartridges and saw the bride and groom figures. I always need wedding cards and it seemed easy enough to create something simple. I could even personalize it if I wanted by adding a set of rings tied with ribbons to match the wedding colors and attaching it to the black strip of paper.

(Kailee) BBQ Card

It was fun to make and very easy to do. I loved crafting with my two aunts and grandma. Grandma was going to make me just draw the person on the card, but luckily Aunt Jenni was there and found the paper dolls box.

Note from Aunt Jenni....I couldn't believe how well Kailee used the cricut machine. She was so cute to watch. She made the cutest card. We did it together and had fun. She is so much like her mother when it comes to crafts.

(Brittney) Elephant Card

Well they got me. I have a friend that is having a baby so I thought I would make a card for her. We all know that I love elephants so it had to have an elephant on it. Jenni showed me how to use the cricket and I took off. I really liked it after it was done and I showed mom who like it a lot as well. In fact she liked it so much that she made it for her card swap. I had a lot of fun making this card and already have another little project idea to do with the cricket.

(Jenni) July Challenge

I am amazed at all the scrapbook stuff that is just sitting collecting dust. This challenge was one way to get it out. I had no idea what to make until I came across the phone in the kitchen set. I loved it! In fact, I loved it so much I made 12 for my card exchange.

(Jenni)

When I went to Grandma Jensen's house last time, I watched a movie with Carl called SOLO. It is about a young mother who flies solo and crashes. I went shopping at the DI and found the book. I read it (Yes, I Read a Book) and really enjoyed it even though I knew how it was going to end.

(Kailee, Sally) Happy Birthday!

Dirt and Water =Mud Cake!
I couldn't help but picture playing with DeeDee as a child as I watched Kailee and Sally. We played in the mud all the time. I think that's why Dee loves to farm and I love to cook. Kailee was busy making a birthday cake for Sally. She went around the house and got flowers and made a cake press. Sally is always asking if today is a party. Well, she got her very own party today!

Tangled

Sarah, Mom, and I made the cutest Tangled wig out of yarn, flowers, and beads (thanks to Rebekah sharing her awesome beads!) This isn't the best picture and I wish we would have gotten the girls picture taken together. Check out the video! By the way, Thanks Mom for the beautiful dress. It was a big hit in Disneyland. Sally thought she was hot stuff!

Sorry all the stuff is sideways!

Sarah, I would love to have you edit this post and add some pictures of Daisy and Rebekah.

(Brittney) Cinderella Bun

This was so so easy. Jenni has been doing the girls hair and found this super cute idea. I loved it so much that I wanted to try it. Also my blow dryer is spitting sparks and so I needed some ideas to do with my hair so I wouldn't have to dry it. This really cuts my getting ready time in the morning in half and I everyone tells me how much they like it. Everyone will have to try it.
