Tangled

Sarah, Mom, and I made the cutest Tangled wig out of yarn, flowers, and beads (thanks to Rebekah sharing her awesome beads!) This isn't the best picture and I wish we would have gotten the girls picture taken together. Check out the video! By the way, Thanks Mom for the beautiful dress. It was a big hit in Disneyland. Sally thought she was hot stuff!

Sorry all the stuff is sideways!

Sarah, I would love to have you edit this post and add some pictures of Daisy and Rebekah.

(Brittney) Cinderella Bun

This was so so easy. Jenni has been doing the girls hair and found this super cute idea. I loved it so much that I wanted to try it. Also my blow dryer is spitting sparks and so I needed some ideas to do with my hair so I wouldn't have to dry it. This really cuts my getting ready time in the morning in half and I everyone tells me how much they like it. Everyone will have to try it.

laughing

I'm sitting here laughing because I looked over at the labels for each post. Nothing even comes close to the recipes. This has been so fun. I love crafting with you. Thanks to everyone of you for doing this together. I have had so much fun. You are ALL going to die at next months challenge by the way, SO BE READY!

(Jenni, Kailee, Sally) Girls Doin Hair

I had to go to the post office and left Kailee in charge. When I came back, I about fell over laughing. Kailee had Sally up on a chair and she was standing on the step stool doing her hair. The crazy thing was Sally was actually letting her do it. I had to go back to the post office because I had forgotten something... all to once again return to a lovely surprise! They were in costume ready to dance. These girls are so funny! These are the little things in life that make me happy.

(Dalea) July Challenge

We'll I had a little friend come home with me the other day to help her finish he pillow she had made and so she didn't have to go to the junkyard with her papa. I went over to Brenda's to sew and when ended up going to lunch with some other friends. We talked and laughed...it was soo much fun. It was a cute little soup and sandwich shop with a lot of homemade things to buy. Ariah saw a cute little card that she wanted to grab for Kailee. So while I was trying to clean up around my sewing machine to sew, I remembered the card she saw that we decided we could make ourselves we were having soo much fun that I remembered the challenge Jenni had told me to try and complete that I decided o yeah I need to make one too. So this is what I came up with....hope you all like it.

I bought so much oatmeal back in the beginning of the year. I have had an oatmeal wall in my kitchen. Today, I finally got it canned. Thanks to my three best helpers: Thayne, Kailee, and Sally.
Kailee can't wait to go home and tell her mom how easy it was to can oatmeal. I have loved having her this summer. She wants to help with everything. She is my very special birthday girl. I love you, Cakes!

California Nails

Sarah, Mom, and I went to the mall and had our nails done. I love this picture because of the lady next to mom. She has the look on her face that says it all!!!! Yes, we are red necks with a camera. I can't find other pictures. I don't know if they are on mom's camera or not. I want to add one of the nails. THANKS SARAH! It was a blast and a half. The only sad thing about it is my nails are growing and I don't want to cut them off. :(

(Jenni) Cherry Pie Filling

My mother in law called and asked if I wanted cherries. Her tree was packed this year. I got two big bowls full. I wanted to make cherry pie filling for cherry crisps in the winter. It was a BIG job. My fingers are stained red and I made a huge miss in my kitchen. When I opened the corn starch, it went flying all over me and my kitchen. I tasted the finished product and it is so good.

Cherry Pie Filling

6 quarts pitted cherries

7 Cups sugar

1 3/4 cups corn starch

9 1/3 water

1/2 cup lemon juice

Wash and pit cherries. Place cherries in boiling water and boil for 1 minute. Drain. Keep warm by just putting a towel over the top of them. Combine sugar and corn starch in a large pan. Add the 9 1/3 cups of water and cook over med. heat stirring constantly. When product begins to thicken and bubble, add the lemon juice and boil for one minute. Add to cherries, stirring gently to mix. Fill hot jars with hot cherry pie filling leaving 1 inch head space. Wipe the rims clean, remove any air bubbles and place your lids on.

Water bath for 30 minutes for both pints and quart jars.

Add the following time according to altitude:

1001-3000 5 minutes

3001-6000 10 minutes

6001-8000 15 minutes

8001-10000 20 minutes

(Kailee) Pizza Pockets

These were fun to make. You had two pieces of bread buttered. Then you put the butter side on the griddle with some pizza sauce. Then put on some pepperoni and cheese. Then put the other piece of bread on with the butter side up. Close the griddle. Wait a few minutes to cook. Then you have a delicious pizza pocket.

Grades were high so have some Lemon Pie!!!

(Jenni) School has not been an easy thing for me. I have been going to school FOREVER! I have been taking online classes from ISU and some have left me in tears. I don't learn very well as it is, let alone not having a teacher to teach to me. I don't read well and I don't remember well. I really have to work at my grades. However, I am a good BSer. I can write a paper in no time flat! (In IEPs, you have to include something positive, so that it mine for this post)
ANYWAYS ON TO THE PIE...

Well, mom can't really help me out because she is not in special ed and has no desire to learn about it either. lol. I have had to totally do this on my own. At the end of each semester, mom makes me a lemon pie. She knows it's my favorite and she also knows how hard I work for my grades. I really look forward to it!!!
This time we were so busy planning our Disneyland trip that I didn't get my pie. I had to remind mom that I was still waiting for it. I think she felt bad. Well... my guilt trip paid off because I got a text from mom with a picture of my mouth watering lemon pie. Kailee, you better have learned how to make this because Grandma says it's a secret!!! I hope you had fun cooking with Grandma. I loved to do that with my grandma when I was younger. Thanks Mom and Kailee, you guys ROCK!!!
